Dr. Michael and Marcia Krinsky of West Simsbury announce the engagement of their son, Jesse, to Kelly Ward, daughter of Joan Ward of Washington, D.C., formerly of Old Saybrook, and the late James Ward.
The future groom is the grandson of Dorothy Nadel of West Hartford and the late Sidney Nadel, and the late Dr. Charles and Bernice Krinsky, formerly of New London and Silver Spring, Md. He is a graduate of Simsbury High School and The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in electronic media with a minor in Judaic studies. He is the founder and executive producer of Medal Productions, a corporate video and documentary production company located in the Boston area.
The future bride is the granddaughter of the late state senator and president pro-tem of the state senate, Patrick Ward and the late Mary Ward, of Hartford, and the late Edna and Richard Bienvenue, of Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of The Williams School in New London, and earned her bachelors degree at The George Washington University in international affairs with a minor in Judaic studies. She holds dual masters degrees from Brandeis University in Near Eastern and Judaic studies and Jewish professional leadership [Hornstein Program]. She is a Middle East analyst.
The couple met in Israel in 2006. She was participating in an archaeological excavation at Tel Megiddo, where he was filming a documentary.
The couple resides in Newton, Mass. A fall 2012 wedding is planned.
