Saul (Sidney) Axelrod, 84, of Torrington died Oct. 25. He was the husband of Roberta (Schnier) Axelrod. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Benjamin and Goldie (Weiner) Axelrod. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received the Army of Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Bradlee Axelrod of Los Angeles, Calif., Robert Axelrod of Torrington, and Richard Axelrod of Los Angeles, Calif.; and his grandsons, Brian, Drake and Liam.
