The Lions of Judah of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford’s Women’s Philanthropy held their annual luncheon in early October at the home of Sandy and Arnold Chase in West Hartford. Sponsored in part by St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the event featured guest speaker Nela Hasic, regional director of Women’s Health Empowerment Program in Bosnia-Herzegovina, who reported on the work Federation supports in empowering women to fight breast cancer in countries including Israel and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
