SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10
Danbury – Special 9/11 Shabbat service and Kiddush to honor and remember the victims of 9/11 and their families, as well as the many heroes who fought to save lives; services at 9:30 a.m.; Congregation B’nai Israel, 193 Clapboard Ridge Rd (Rte 39), (203) 792-6161.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11
Fairfield – Community-wide observance honoring the memory of those lost on 9/11; hosted by the Fairfield Clergy Association, the Tent of Abraham Interfaith group, and the Council of Churches of Greater Fairfield in conjunction with the Fairfield History Museum’s special exhibit for the 10th anniversary of 9/11; 3 p.m.; at the museum; Rabbi Prosnit and Rabbi Gurevitz will take part; at the Fairfield History Museum.

Stamford – “9/11 Ten Years: A Community Gathering for Healing and Hope,” sponsored by the Mayor’s Multi-Cultural Council and the Interfaith Council of Southwestern CT; with Mayor Michael Pavia and other dignitaries; singers and choirs from Stamford-area congregation performing original music written for the occasion; 7 p.m.;at Temple Beth El, 350 Roxbury Rd.
