Solomon H. Tilles, of Middletown, formerly of Old Lyme and Storrs, died March 25. He was the widower of Elinor Cohen. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y. He served in the U.S. military. He was an active member of Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek in Chester. He was also predeceased by his daughter Cynthia, and his grandson Samuel. He is survived by his sister Estelle Ginsberg of Brunswick, Ohio; his sons Peter and his wife Lori of East Meadow, New York, and David of Middletown; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families.
