Artists, designers and architects are invited to submit innovative creative designs for a sukkah that will be included in “Sukkah City of Hartford,” a project presented by Charter Oak Cultural Center in partnership with Riverfront Recapture, Inc. The project is part of Charter Oak’s seventh annual “Celebration of Jewish Arts & Culture,” a two-month long event featuring art, music, dance, theater and more, that will be presented Oct. 3 – Dec. 11.
Six sukkah designs chosen from among those submitted will be constructed as part of a temporary, public art installation at Charter Oak Landing in the fall. Each of the six designers whose sukkah is chosen will receive a $100 stipend. Prizes awarded to the top three winners will be determined by a panel of judges.
Entries must be received by Monday, August 15 at 2 p.m. The entry fee is $25.
For entry guidelines please call (860) 249-1207 ext. 101 or email Meredith.arcari@charteroakcenter.org.
