Donald (Don) H. Halprin, 89, of New Haven, died May 22. He was the husband of Shirley (Yankeloff) Halprin. Born in New Haven, he was the son of Nathan and Clara (Chatzek) Halprin. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Annapolis, Md. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Leslie Eileen Heyison and her husband Joseph of Stamford, and Richard Allan Helprin of North Haven and his fiancée Elise Liebowitz; his grandchildren, Brenda Claire and Alex; his sister Ellen Charney of Boca Raton, Fla.; and a niece and her family.
