From Russia with love

Over 300 attendees enjoyed an evening of “Dramatic Music with a Russian Twist” at Beth El Temple in West Hartford on Sunday, April 7. Organized by concert promoter Elisa Wagner with musical direction by Cantor Joseph Ness, the evening included performances by West Hartford native Max Weinstein, now a New York-based actor and singer, international competition-winner and HARTT teacher Tamila Azadaliyeva, Russian-Jewish soprano Zhanna Alkhazova, Russian bass Gennady Vysotsky; and vocalist June Bisantz with co-writer/accompanist Alex Nakhimovsky, as well as the Beth El Orchestra.

Next up in the Beth El concert series: A Sunday, June 2 performance by Israeli pianist Tomer Gewirtzman with saxophonist John Mastrianni, as well as a rock & roll reunion of The New Remains.
