Sondra Bernblum will receive the Angel award at the National Council of Jewish Women Greater New Haven Section Angel Luncheon & Awards Ceremony to be held at the Laurel View Country Club in Hamden on May 16 at 12 noon.
A Council member since 2004, Bernblum is the chapter’s recording secretary and publicity chairman.  She also served on the committee that organized and judged the Sixth Grade Literacy Contest.  Bernblum was awarded special recognition in 2009.
Longtime Council member Estelle Baltimore will receive the Special Recognition award at the luncheon.  Baltimore has served on several Council committees, and is past chairman of membership.
Opera singers Daniel Juarez and Cybil Jones-Juarez will perform at the luncheon.
