Dr. William T. ‘Bill’ Sherman, 82, of The Villages, Fla., and Nantucket, Mass. and West Hartford, died August 16. He was the husband of Samantha (Theriault) Sherman. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late George J and Lottie K (Kovarsky) Sherman. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a captain in the Air Force dental service. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step-children, Christopher Hale Smith and his fiancé Estella of Cambridge Springs, Penn., and Carrie Leigh Waskowicz and her husband Alan of Southington; grandchildren, Caleigh M. Waskowicz, Zachary A. Waskowicz, Jared C. Smith, Tara Smith, Beth Ingram, and Mark Ingram; his sister Susan H. Sherman of Newington; and his cousin Robert Sherman and his wife Kim Sawyer of Boston, Mass.. He was also predeceased by his brother Richard H. Sherman.
