David Baram receives Democratic nomination for probate judge

BLOOMFIELD – Attorney David Baram was unanimously endorsed as a candidate for Judge of Probate at the Democratic Convention held recently in Bloomfield. Delegates from the Tobacco Valley Probate District, which includes Bloomfield, Windsor Locks, East Granby and Suffield convened to nominate Probate Judge David Baram for a full four-year term.

In accepting the nomination, Baram said that solving problems, legal knowledge, and compassion are three principles essential to being a successful probate judge. In addition, he noted several of the many new programs he has instituted, including: community outreach and speaking engagements, monthly newspaper columns, hearings in homes and care facilities, and the establishment of the Probate Court Citation of Recognition.

David Baram is managing member of the Bloomfield Law Firm of Baram, Tapper & Gans LLC, where he practices law. He has been designated a “Super Lawyer” in 2010 and has a “Superb” rating with AVVO. He is a past state representative for the towns of Bloomfield and Windsor, where he chaired the General Law Committee and served on the Judiciary and Banking Committees. He is the former chairman of the Bloomfield Center Fire District Board of Commissioners, former president of the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, and former chairman of the Capitol Region Council of Governments (CROG).

The father of two sons, Baram and his wife Paula are residents of Bloomfield.
