First Ever CT Hebrew Book Fest comes to Westport

WESTPORT – Connecticut’s very first Hebrew Book Fest will be held Sunday, June 10, 1 – 6 p.m., at Temple Israel, 14 Coleytown Road in Westport.

The festival is presented by Israelis in CT, in collaboration with IAC Keshet, the Israeli House, Pashoshim.com and Hebrew Today, and in tandem with the “Taste of Israel Food Festival.”

The program will feature sale of gently used Hebrew books, lectures and a Children’s Corner with face painting, games, music, and a story time (1:15 – 2 p.m.) with the reading in Hebrew and English of A Tale of Five Balloons. Each child will receive a free gift of a Hebrew book.

The festival schedule also includes two lectures for adults. Both lectures will be presented in English:

2:15 – 3 p.m. – Inside the Hebrew Short Story.

5 – 5:45 p.m. – An Inside Look at Hebrew Poetry.

Admission to the Hebrew Book Fest is free with admission to the Taste of Israel Food Festival.
