Margaret Grossman Eckmann, 98, of Queens, N.Y., formerly of Fairfield and Bridgeport, died Jan. 6. She was the widow of Nicholas (Miklos) Eckmann. Born in a small town in Hungary, she was the daughter of Yechiel and Regina Grossman. She was a Holocaust survivor and was imprisoned in Auschwitz. She is survived by her daughter, Veronica Reich, and her husband Erwin; her grandchildren, Joey Reich and his wife Amy of Santa Fe, N.M., and Arielle Reich and her husband Michael Mandell of Hartford; and her great-grandson Oliver Reich.
