Katharine Isenberg Lavitt, 90, of Hartford, died Sept. 23. Born and raised in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rosalind (Ball) Isenberg. She was the first female president of Congregation Beth Israel. She is survived by her children, Carol Kohn and her husband Buz, and Alice Naboicheck and her husband Bob; her grandchildren, Ben (Marti) Kohn, Elizabeth Kohn, Candice (Michael) Dolce, Henry “Skip” (Jen) Naboicheck, and Alex (Estelle) Naboicheck; her great-grandchildren, August, Marlowe and Lucas; and her sister-in-law Alice J. Isenberg. She was also pre-deceased by her brother, Phillip Isenberg.
