Noam Shalit on live video in Stamford

STAMFORD – Noam Shalit, the father of captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, will discuss his son’s plight in an interactive video conference that will be carried live at the Stamford Jewish Community Center on Sunday, April 3, 9:30 – 11 a.m.  Shalit will also field questions from the audience during the conference. Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier, was captured in 2006 by the terrorist group Hamas in a cross-border raid in Israel, and has been held as a prisoner in the Gaza Strip for nearly five years. He has never been visited by the Red Cross.
This event is presented by Connect Israel and Bar Ilan University, Bi-Cultural Day School, Carmel Academy, Chabad Lubavitch of Stamford, Congregation Agudath Shalom, Congregation Beth El, Norwalk, Stamford Jewish Community Center, Temple Sinai, Young Israel of Stamford and United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford, New Canaan and Darien.
