An Evening with Schoke JFS on May 10

STAMFORD – The Beldotti family and Mark Frank, all of Stamford, will be honored at the annual gala of the Elayne and James Schoke Jewish Family Service (JFS), to be held Wednesday evening, May 10 at the Italian.

Recipients of JFS’ 38th Annual Mitzvah Award, the Beldotti family own and operate Stamford’s popular Beldotti Bakery, the city’s only family-owned kosher bakery. Over the years, the Beldotti family has been a strong supporter of local synagogues, soup kitchens, youth athletic leagues and public schools, and were participants in the Russian Immigrant Absorption Program.

Mark Frank will receive the 11th Annual Young Leadership Award. Born in Charleston, South Carolina and raised in Florida, Frank has long been active in a variety of Jewish camp and synagogue activities. He relocated to Stamford in 2010 and the next year became involved in the Schoke JFS through Jewish Twenties and Thirties (JTT). He joined the Board of Schoke JFS in 2015 and was nominated to participate in the Behrend Institute for Leadership in 2017. Professionally, Frank works for Calibre One, a New York global retained search firm serving the technology industry.

The gala will also feature entertainment by stand-up comedian Steve Solomon, creator and star of the award-winning Broadway comedy “My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish & I’m in Therapy,” and a kosher Italian dinner and live auction.
