Junior Maccabi Games seeks young Jewish athletes

WEST HARTFORD – The Mandell JCC is putting out the call for young Jewish athletes ages 10-12 (as of May 1, 2017) interested in taking part in the 2017 Northeast Junior Maccabi Games, to be held Sunday, May 21 at two venues: the Mandell JCC in West Hartford and the Mandell JCC Valley Sports and Community Center in Canton.

Represented at the one-day competition will Jewish communities in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York will participate in the one-day competition. Boys and girls may participate in the following sports: basketball, soccer, swimming and tennis. Team tryouts will be held in January 2017.

Athletes and their parents are invited to find out more about the Games at informational Meetings that will be held at the Mandell JCC, 335 Bloomfield Ave. in West Hartford on Sunday, Dec. 11, 5 p.m., and Tuesday, December 13, 6:30 p.m.
