Sukkot is fun for New London students

Students, faculty and parents of Solomon Schechter Academy in New London had fun visiting Scott’s Yankee Farmer in East Lyme, where they collected gourds for the school sukkah. Mrs. Scott welcomed the group to her farm and taught students all about apples, pumpkins, and gourds.

 

ssa-sukkotSolomon Schechter Academy students and staff were joined by Israeli Young Emissaries Tal and Guy in celebrating Sukkot. Students at the New London day school decorated and then feasted on a picnic lunch in the sukkah, sang songs and enjoyed arts and crafts activities.
