Bert Kaplan, 85, of Simsbury, died Sept. 3. He was the husband of Elizabeth Kaplan. Born in New York, he was the son of Harry and Lillian Kaplan. He served in the U.S. Army during Korea, stationed in London. He was a member of the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Nancy Kaplan and her husband Andy Raubvogel; his grandchildren Max, Jeffrey, Julie and Harry Kaplan, and Lily and Jacob Weissgold; and his sister Diane Rosenthal.
