Manny Meltzer of Hamden died August 27. He was the husband of Helene Meltzer. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Ida and Joseph Meltzer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of Temple Beth Sholom in Hamden. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeffrey Meltzer and his wife Dianne, Laurie Bandremer and her husband Scott, William Meltzer, and Brian Meltzer and his wife Mira; and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Joel, Taylor, Zachary, Sadie, Julia, and Benjamin.
