Sgt. Samuel Tilles, of El Paso, Texas, formerly of Storrs, died Oct. 23. He was the husband of Marvaline Tilles. He was the son of David Tilles and the grandson of Sol Tilles of Middletown. He was a combat veteran of Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division, and of Afghanistan with the 124th Stryker Division. In addition to his wife, father and grandfather, he is survived by his daughters, Felicia and Jazil, all of El Paso; and his uncles, aunts and cousins.
