Estelle (Bunny) Saphirstein, 86, of West Hartford, recently of New Rochelle, N.Y., died June 10. She was the wife of Irving Saphirstein. Born in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Louis H. and Dorothy W. Wax. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ruth Saphirstein and her husband Richard Bieler of East Hampton, Caryl Lazarus and her husband Steven of New Rochelle, N.Y., and David Saphirstein and his wife Lisa Winter of Springs, Fla.; her grandchildren, Bryan Lazarus, Michael Lazarus, Jessica Saphirstein, Abigail Saphirstein and Rachel Saphirstein; her sisters, Frances Sapers and Shirley Baron; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother Melvin H. Wax of Berkley, Calif.
