Grants for internships in the fight against antisemitism

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Justus & Karin Rosenberg Foundation has announced the inaugural Rosenberg Student Internship Program, which will provide grants to college and graduate students who accept unpaid or low-paying internships with an organization (NGOs and not-for-profits) whose work aligns with the Foundation’s mission.

The Foundation’s mission is “to support efforts to combat antisemitism and anti-Israel activity on campus, antisemitic hate crimes, Holocaust denial, antisemitic discourse, state-sponsored antisemitism, and other issues that have a direct impact on the growth of hatred and antisemitism.”

“We are delighted to add to the Internships which we have already funded at Bard College with additional Internships for students from across the country, and beyond. We are eager to support students who want to work with, and learn firsthand from, organizations that combat hatred and antisemitism,” said Foundation President Justus Rosenberg.

Justus Rosenberg is the last surviving member of the Varian Fry group, which rescued hundreds of artists and intellectuals from the Nazis in Vichy France in 1940-41.

The maximum individual grant is $3,000. Applications are now being accepted for the summer of 2015. For more information and application materials visit jkrfoundation.org.
