Kim Margolis joins Hartford JFS

WEST HARTFORD – Kimberly Margolis has been appointed director of development of Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford (JFS), it was announced recently by Anne Danaher, the agency’s executive director. Margolis, who holds an MBA in non-profit management, has more than 15 years development experience working with organizations including Jewish Big Brothers, the Jewish Federations of Los Angeles and Greater Hartford and, most recently, the Mandell Jewish Community Center. In 2014, she was included as one of the Hartford Business Journal’s “40 Under Forty.”

“Kim is the perfect addition to the JFS team. Her experience, creativity and passion for her work reflect the values of the organization as a whole,” said Merrill Mandell, JFS board president.  “In the short time that we have been working together, she has shown herself to be a team player with energy and fresh ideas.”

In her new position, Margolis will develop, execute, and manage the development efforts for JFS, including the Annual Friends Campaign and Endowment Fund.

“With outside funding sources decreasing and the needs of our community increasing, it became an agency priority to focus on our development strategies,” states Danaher.

“I’m thrilled to continue my work in building a strong Jewish community,” said Margolis.
