Thank you for the article about professor Andrew Pessin at Connecticut College (“The Screenshot Heard ‘Round the World,” April 24, 2015). It was a balanced description of what has happened.

As a ‘70 graduate of CC, I am absolutely enraged by the reaction of the college. Once again, a liberal bastion of higher education only supports freedom of speech for some and not for all. The fact that President Bergeron reacted by throwing professor Pessin ‘under the bus’ without actually reading his posts is so wrong.

Since this is a reunion year for me, I am sure I will soon get a personal call from the campus to donate money to support my alma mater. THAT WILL NOT BE HAPPENING.
