Michael Schaefer, 61, of Branford, died Oct. 27. He was the husband of Jane Farrington. Born in New Haven, he was a son of the late Bernard and Sarah (Drabkin) Schaefer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Stefanie Schaefer of New York, N.Y., and Robert and James Schaefer, both of Branford; his brothers, Lawrence Schaefer and his wife Lina Lawall of Cheshire and David Schaefer and his wife Janet of Hamden; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
