Dorothy Gitlavitz of Hamden, 98, formerly of New Britain, died July 20. She is survived by her niece, Susan Epstein and her husband Richard Shapiro of Hamden, and Debra Krasa and her husband Raphael of Natick, Mass.; her nephews, Mark Epstein of Gulfport, Fla., Charles Rogol and his wife Heidi of East Brunswick, N.J., and Brian Rogol and his wife Rhonna of New York, N.Y.; her companion and caregiver, Joyce Brown; and eight grandnieces and grandnephews.
