Louis H. Cohen, 98, of West Hartford, formerly of New Britain, died Oct. 21. He was the widower of Virginia (Pinsker) Cohen. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late William and Bessie (Bordowitz) Cohen. He served as a captain in the Quartermaster Corps in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his daughters, Judi Siegal and her husband Philip of Ocala, Fa., and Valerie Lyons of Biddeford, Me.; his sister, Rhoda C. Chase and her husband David T. Chase of West Hartford; his grandchildren, Rebecca Vattuone and her husband Cristian, Darren Siegal, and Monica Lyons; and his longtime companion, Gertrude Seletsky of West Hartford.
