L’chaim to Daniel Greenfield! (“The Israeli Man’s Burden,” Jewish Ledger, June 14, 2013). The Jewish aphorism “Choose Life!” has and will continue to triumph over perpetual victimhood.

His exposé of the press’ difficulty relating to Jews having a good time in the midst of palpable hostility is brilliant. We know it well: “We will find a way to condemn you whether you laugh or cry, win or lose, compromise or resist” is a story older than printing itself.

We differ from others who marinate in and exploit victimhood. If the press can only relate to cowering Jews, the press will have to get over it. Now, how about a toast to all those bureau chiefs?
