On Sunday, April 7, more than 100 volunteers came out to take part in Annual Mitzvah Day, organized by Temple Sholom of Greenwich. The volunteers took part in all sorts of community service projects – including sorting donated food for the Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry, making cake pops for the children at Kids in Crisis, creating no-sew blankets for children in need through Project Linus, preparing dinner for low-income seniors living at McKinney House, and crafting decorative pots and vases for flowers that were delivered to residents of the Nathaniel Witherall Nursing Home.
