Two CT residents named to United Synagogue regional board

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Two Connecticut residents are among 10 officers newly elected to the board of directors of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism’s Northeast district.  The district is comprised of the former Canadian, Connecticut Valley, Empire and New England regions and is headquartered in Newton Centre, Mass.

Eliot Meadow

Eliot Meadow of Middletown was named secretary.  He is a member of United Synagogue’s board of directors, Council of District Leadership, and the Project Reconnect steering committee.  He is immediate past president of Congregation Adath Israel in Middletown.

Shirley Morrison

Shirley Morrison of Bloomfield was named membership/alim commissioner.  She serves on United Synagogue’s board of directors and Council of District Leadership, and previously served as president of United Synagogue’s former Connecticut Valley region.  She is past president of Bloomfield’s Beth Hillel Synagogue and of its sisterhood.
