Crown Market announces new ownership

The Crown Market, a cherished local establishment and kosher grocery store located in West Hartford, Connecticut, on Wednesday announced a change in ownership. The Crown Market has been serving the Greater Hartford community for over 75 years.

Triple Crown Group LLC, an alliance of five co-owners, announced the store will undergo a series of enhancements. Customers can expect a renewed store layout, improved aesthetics, and enhanced amenities.

“At the heart of our vision is a commitment to preserving the Crown’s legacy as a cornerstone of the West Hartford community while entering in a new era of growth, innovation, and exceptional service,” said co-owner Yitz Rabinowitz. “We envision the Crown not only as a place to purchase high-quality kosher products but also as a community hub that fosters connections and celebrations.”

Building upon the foundation of the Crown Market’s existing offerings, the new ownership is committed to expanding the product range to cater to diverse culinary preferences. This includes a meticulously curated selection of international kosher foods, organic and health-conscious choices, and an even broader array of fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

According to Rabinowitz, under the dynamic leadership of general managers and co-owners Khen and Debra Raviv, Crown Market is poised for an exciting future of growth and innovation.

“Khen and Debra’s extensive background in the hospitality industry will be instrumental in helping us bring the Crown Market to the next level,” said Rabinowitz.

“We are incredibly excited to take the reins of the Crown Market and build upon its esteemed reputation,” said West Hartford resident Debra Raviv. “Our goal is to honor its legacy while introducing new offerings and experiences. We are working on some very exciting new features such as creating an indoor eating area, expanding the current take out menu, rebranding and relocating many products for a better shopping experience. We will also be hosting ongoing tasting events, allowing customers to explore new flavors and discover their favorites.”

Embracing technological advancements, the new Crown is committed to enhancing the shopping experience and will introduce online ordering, delivery services, and implement modern self-checkout systems.

“As we embark on this new journey, we understand that our customers’ preferences and needs will shape our direction,” continued Rabinowitz. Regular engagement and open communication will be our guiding principles as we continue to meet the evolving demands of our customers.  We will also actively seek opportunities to collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and artisans. By fostering partnerships, we aim to contribute to the vibrancy of the West Hartford community. We will continue to honor the Crown Market’s legacy while embracing innovation and community engagement. We are confident that it will not only remain a cherished destination but will also become a beacon of inspiration and excellence in the realm of kosher markets.”
