Jerome “Jerry” Mitchell Scharr, 89, of Deep River, Conn., died Feb. 20. He was the husband of Marlene (Ginsberg) Scharr. Born in Hartford, Conn., he was the son of the late Philip and Mabel (Richman) Scharr. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters,Merle “Terry” Kurtzman and her husband Irv, and Lynn Sharp and her husband Dan; his children Michael Scharr and his wife Julie, and Elizabeth Scharr; his grandchildren, Amanda Sears (Doug) of Northborough, Mass., Alison Sjoberg (Stefan) of Suffield, CT, and Katelin Gochberg of Boston, Mass. He was also predeceased by his daughter Janet Gochberg.
