Selma (Kaplan) Cherkas Snider, 97, of Worcester, Mass., died Jan. 2. She predeceased by her husband Dr. Benjamin Cherkas and Irving Snider. Born in Lynn, Mass., she was the daughter of Samuel and Lillian (Hymanson) Kaplan. She is survived by a brother, Sy of Atlanta, Ga.; three children, Philip Cherkas and his wife, Pam, of Worcester, Mass., Leigh Cherkas of Longmeadow, Mass., and Linda Dworkin and her husband, Chaim; six grandchildren, Binyamin Moshe and Rachel of Jerusalem Israel, Bension Dworkin and Gwen Gordon in San Diego, Elisheva and David Kadosh and Akiva and Tova Dworkin in Philadelphia, Isaiah Cherkas and Holli Selman in Falls Church and Korben Cherkas-Clark of Longmeadow, Mass; and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kayla Rae.
