Charles I. Bean, 98, of East Longmeadow, Mass., died Oct. 21. Born in Boston, Mass., he was the son of the late Solomon and Mollie (Wallace) Bean. He served the U.S. Army as a PFC, 1st Cavalry Division, in the trenches, during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his sister Sylvia Ruth Gootzit and her husband Raymond; and his sister Rosalyn Plotkin and her husband Norman. He is survived by his sister Selma Milstein, and her husband Bernard; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
