Frances Joan Cohen Levitz, R.N., of Longmeadow, Mass., formerly of Holyoke, Mass., died Oct. 2, just eight days prior to her 100th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edward R. Levitz. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Minna Cohen. She was also predeceased by two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her children, Alan Levitz and his wife Shirley of Enfield, Conn., Jon Levitz and his wife Tirtza of Be’er Sheva, Israel, and Corinne “Cookie” Levitz of Chicago, Ill.; her grandchildren, Allison Steinberg and her husband Adam of Longmeadow, Mass., Seth Levitz and his Colleen of Winnetka, Ill., and Lee and Adam Levitz of Be’er Sheva, Israel; and her great-grandchildren, Zachary and Hayden Steinberg of Longmeadow, Mass., and Olivia and Charles Levitz of Winnetka, Ill.
