New website for Orlando Jews provides help with funeral services

(JNS) A new website catered to locals in Orlando, Fla., offers support, education and information to those planning Jewish funeral services in the area. OrlandoJewishFunerals.com was launched on Wednesday by the Jewish Funeral Group in partnership with the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, which offers services in accordance with Jewish traditions. This website, available to everyone, is dedicated to “ensuring a comprehensive offering of Jewish funeral and burial traditions” and “provides education regarding funeral and shivah rituals, pre-planning and at-need planning, and community information and resources,” announced the Jewish Funeral Group. Jewish Funeral Group works with its partners—Shiva.com, the National Jewish Memorial Wall and other organizations—to help families in mourning, including providing meals for those sitting shiva and honoring those who have died.

The Greater Orlando area has a Jewish population of more than 50,000.

Orlando is the second region to be offered services by Jewish Funeral Group following its launch of JacksonvilleJewishFunerals.com in 2021. The Sympathy Brands subsidiary plans on expanding to the Daytona and Miami areas in 2022 and outside of Florida in early 2023.
