Voices of Hope will present its Descendants of the Shoah Conference on Sunday, Sept. 11, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Mandell Jewish Community Center, 335 Bloomfield Ave. in West Hartford.
The conference is an opportunity to raise consciousness about Holocaust history, personal experiences and the continuity of remembrance. The conference will consist of three one-hour sessions, two in the morning and one in the afternoon. Speakers will include survivors and their children, and Holocaust scholars.
Space is limited. Early bird registration is $75 and must be received by August 1. Regular Registration is $85 and must be received by Sept. 5. The student fee is $18. There is no charge for survivors.
Lunch, including coffee and snacks, is included with registration. Kashrut will be observed.
Voices of Hope is a non-profit organization created by descendants of Holocaust survivors from across Connecticut, whose mission is to promote a culture of courage to stand up against hatred through Holocaust and genocide education and remembrance.
