Richard J. Alderman, 83, of New York, N.Y., died May 26. Born in New Haven, Conn., he was the son of Samuel B. “Pookie” Alderman and Ruth Mednick Alderman. He is survived by his older sister, Barbara (Alderman) Stein, two nephews and a niece, their spouses, two great-nephews, and six great-nieces.
