Marc D. Silver, 68, of West Hartford, died Jan. 23. He was the husband of Beverly. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Rabbi Harold and Ruth Lee Silver. He moved to Connecticut when he was a teenager. He was an active member of Congregation Beth Israel. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his  stepdaughter Rebecca Slitt of South Hadley, Mass.; his sister Jenny Silver and her husband Lauren Kaplan of Leverett Mass.; his sister Molly Silver and her husband Marty Teicher of Brookline Mass.; several nephews and one great-nephew. He was also predeceased by his brother Michael Silver.
