Annual Manchester Jazz Festival goes virtual

5th Annual Manchester, CT Jazz Festival, hosted by Manchester’s Beth Sholom B’nai Israel synagogue, will be held Dec. 5, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. This year’s festival will be broadcast virtually and will feature both up-and-coming and internationally recognized performers.

The Festival kick’s off with the Max Dvorin Group from Nashville, Tenn. A talented woodwind doubler, Max is a graduate of Hall High School and a former member of the Hall High School Jazz Band who was invited to perform with the All-American High School Band in Nashville. He will be joined will be joined by Sophia Goodman on drums,Al Janelle on guitar, Thomas Altman on bass, and David Rodgers on piano. The headliner quartet features some of the top jazz musicians in the world: Eric Alexander, tenor saxophone, Peter Bernstein, guitar, Eddie Gomez, bass and Greater Hartford area native Jonathan Barber on drums.
