Selma Roth Stein, 97, of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of West Hartford, died Nov. 2. She was the widow of Milton Stein. Born and raised in the Hartford area, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Jack Roth. She was a founding member of Beth El Temple. She is survived by her children, Gerri and her husband Fred, Holly, and Larry and his wife Miriam; her grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Maureen, Jessica and her husband David, Jacob, Judd and his wife Athena, Corey and his wife Nupur, Justin and Carolyn Stein; her great-grandchildren, Noah, Benjamin, Lily, Jackson, Sydney and Frances; her brother Joel and his wife Sherry; and a niece and nephew. She was also predeceased by her sister Nancy.
