Sherry Haller announces run for CT General Assembly

WEST HARTFORD – Sherry Haller, a life-long resident of West Hartford, has announced her candidacy as a Democrat for the 20th General Assembly District in West Hartford.

“This is a very difficult time to make my announcement. I am hoping that I will be able to introduce myself in person to many more of the voters in our district as soon as it is safe to gather together again,” said Haller.

Haller has served as president of the local Buena Vista Property Owners Association for 10 years and as executive director of The Justice Education Center, a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to community safety and justice reform for more than 40 years.

“During my career, I have been fortunate to work on the local and state levels with legislative, community and business leaders, teachers, clergy our neighbors and youth. What I’ve learned is that, while we may have different approaches, at the end of the day, we all want the same thing – to be able to care for our loved ones, live in a safe and welcoming community and to create opportunities for our children to learn and grow,” said Haller.

“I hope everyone remains safe and healthy,” she added.
