SCHWARTZ

Judith Schwartz (nee Mandell) of Boynton Beach, Fla. passed away peacefully on March 29, 2020 in Delray Beach, Fla. Judi was born in Hartford, Conn. to Edith and Harry Mandell on March 9, 1943. She went to Newington High School and graduated in 1961. She went on to earn a degree in fashion merchandising from Becker Junior College. She worked as a women’s clothing buyer and was a lead personnel trainer for G. Fox & Co. in Hartford, Conn. Throughout her years living in Hartford, Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Boynton Beach, Judi was known for her passion for family and friends. She sought intimate connections with people, and her spunky and kind-hearted personality brought energy, spirit, and humor to any room she entered. Judi had a gift for building unique and lasting connections with people in every corner of her life. She was the beloved wife of Harvey Schwartz of Boynton Beach, Fla. for 52 years. Loving mother of Amy (Josh) Charlson of Deerfield, Ill., and Neal (Dana) Schwartz of Leawood, Ks. Devoted sister of Jared (Joanne) Mandell of Owings Mills, Md and Andrew (Joyce) Mandell of West Hartford, Conn.; and sister-in-law of Barbara and Bob Hurwit. Proud grandmother of Benjamin, Elana, Lydia, and Melanie. She was also the fawning aunt to her nine nieces and nephews. Memorial service and shiva were held privately.
