Yeshiva U men’s basketball team wins conference title

(JTA) – Yeshiva University’s men’s basketball team won the Skyline Conference championship game on Sunday, March 1, to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament for the second time in three seasons. The top-seeded Maccabees defeated third-seeded Purchase College, State University of New York, 86-74, at home in the title game to run its record to 27-1. Yeshiva has not lost a game this season and is ranked No. 15 in the nation in Division III. The team will find out its opening round opponent in the NCAA Tournament on Monday.
