Irv Yaffa, known professionally as Irv Jeffries, 92, of Bloomfield, formerly of West Hartford and Las Vegas, Nev., died Feb. 9. He was predeceased by his wife Val. Born in Hartford, he served in the U.S. Navy, serving on a destroyer as part of the Navy Expeditionary Forces. He is survived by his children, Michael and his wife Marci, and Kim; and his grandchildren, Jamie and Lauren. He was also pre-deceased by his sisters, Bessie, Sally, and Molly, and his brothers, Charlie and Louie.
