JTConnect is in the pink!

JTConnect, an organization that provides programs for Jewish teens in the Greater Hartford area, is teaming up with Hartford area Jewish youth groups – including USY, BBYO, Young Israel teens and the Jewish Student Union (JSU) – for Pink Unity Shabbat, a fun event to be held Friday, Feb. 21, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at The Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford.

The fun event is intended to raise awareness of breast cancer and support the vital work of Sharsheret, a national non-profit organization offering programs, services and support for  Jewish women and families living with or at increased genetic risk for breast or ovarian cancer.

Pink Unity Shabbat is open to all teens in grade 8 – 12. Admission is $10; proceeds will benefit Sharsheret.

The Emanuel Synagogue is located at 160 Mohegan Dr., West Hartford. RSVP is required; walk-ins will not be admitted.
