Hamden Mayor Curt Lang presented a proclamation declaring Nov. 10, 2019 Rabbi Benjamin E. Scolnic Day at a gala event honoring the spiritual leader (seated near the podium) for his 36 years of service and leadership to Temple Beth Sholom in Hamden. In the spirit of good-natured fun, the Sunday afternoon celebration also included a roast of the rabbi by synagogue members, friends, and family.
