Donald David “Dave” Berman died Dec. 24 in New Haven, five days short of his 87th birthday. He was the husband of Deborah “Debby” Helene Shavelson Berman. Raised in Stamford, he was the son of the late August and Adele Pickerstein Berman. He served in the United States Army, reaching the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He is survived by his sons, Brad Berman and his wife Naomi of Connecticut, Andy Berman and his wife Sabra Grimberg  of California, and Matthew Berman of California; and his grandchildren, Sam and Kimmy Tronolone, Kayla, Hannah, Morrissa, Harley and Samantha; his sisters, Nancy Berman Greene and Barbara Klein and her husband Morton, and Allene Berman. He was predeceased by his brothers, Bill and Ken Berman.
