Esther (Jaffee) Weiner, 92, of Avon, died Oct. 19. She was the widow of Stanley Weiner. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Barnett and Ida (Mopsick) Jaffee. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford. She is survived by her two daughters, Jane W. Freeman and her husband Hamilton of Avon, and Judith W. Greene and her husband Bernard of Farmington; her granddaughters, Lindsay Kent and Abigail Greene; her sister-in-law Selma Weiner; her brother Jay Jaffee and his wife Rita; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Roz Taylor and Sylvia Brightman; and her brothers, Jack Jaffee, Abraham Jaffee and Simon Jaffee.
